This past weekend was Alumnae Dinner, the formal for my sorority, Delta Theta Psi. It was a lot of fun to dance, catch up, and drink with my sisters at the nice golf club called the Pines. It’s fun to get dressed up. Reminds me of those dances in High School that were the end all be all…the ones I waited months for. AD is better though. I look forward to it every year, and especially after two weeks of pledging, it’s nice to see the babies so happy.
Spring break is about 10 days away, and it could not come faster. I’m spending the first week at home with my family, relaxing, getting organized, and hopefully babysitting to make some much needed income. The second week I am spending on St. Simon’s Island in GA with the Connecticut College men’s and women’s frisbee teams, but more specifically, with Nick my friend from abroad! It’s been a long time since I spent awhile with a New Zealand buddy (besides Kevin coming to my house to pick up his bag but that wasn’t nearly long enough to catch up!)
It will be me and a bunch of new friends on a sunny, beautiful island watching some frisbee, and relaxing. Sounds like an amazing Spring Break you say? It will be. But for now, I’m still at Wooster writing about a paper a week, taking math quizzes every Friday, and trying to comprehend my Junior I.S. class. I hate to say it, but school is starting to become so monotonous. That is not a good mindset to have going into I.S. (which I know I will be fine on), but I guess I’m just starting to get excited about what comes next. New people, new opportunities, new scene.
I got a hall for next year with my friends Lanie and Sam, and some new friends, which I am excited about! (even though I got drawn the smallest single).
